Archosaur, Archosaurs
(Archosauria - from Gr. Archos - r uler sauros - lizard) - diapsydalnych taxon of reptiles including the evolutionarily advanced orders of reptiles. The name Archosa urs proposed by Edward Drinker Cope in 1869 for the group, which scored crocodiles, Thecodont, dinosaurs, Dicynodontia, Dinocephalia, Rhynchosaur and Sphenodontia [1]. Later Archosaurs been variously defined, tended to even be considered paraphyletic group, but finally in the twentieth century took their understanding as a monophyletic group consisting of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, crocodiles and Thecodont [2].
